what is a SET FREE! retreat
The Set Free! Retreat is about receiving life changing ministry that will teach you how to break free of sins and obstacles that prevent you from becoming all you can be in the body of Christ!
“If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-32 NRSV)
At the Set Free! Retreat, we seek this freedom that Jesus offers.
Who Can Attend
- Anyone 16 years of age and older, wherever you are in your walk, we encourage you to attend!
- Those under 18 need a parent to fill out and sign a permission form available at the Church Office.
- Due to the nature of the retreat, we are not able to accommodate children at this time.
What to Bring
- You will need to bring your Bible, a notebook and a pen. (Bibles are also available to borrow at Alderwood Church)
- Above all, bring a mind open to new possibilities and a heart ready to receive from God.
Location and Cost
- The Set Free! Retreat will be held at Alderwood United Church.
- Cost: per person $TBD
- The cost of the retreat subject to change. The fee includes three meals and retreat materials.
- Full payment is due when you register in order to secure your spot. There is a non-refundable fee if you require cancellation.
- Payment options will be provided online after retreat dates have been announced.
Schedule
- Friday: 4:30 PM – 9 PM, Saturday: 8:15 AM – 6:30 PM
- Registration opens at 4:30 PM with a community meal at 5 PM, followed by the first two sessions of the Retreat.
- After the sessions on Friday, participants go home/hotel for the night and are asked to be on time for the Saturday morning session at 8:15 AM (breakfast not included). The retreat runs until Saturday evening with lunch and dinner provided.
- Please plan to attend the entire retreat.

- Register by completing the form provided online. Forms will be made available on this website as soon as dates for an upcoming retreat are announced.
- Paper copies of registration forms may be provided at Alderwood United Church as required.
